Paris to Aurillac is back on rail

Operated by the French national operator, SNCF, the Paris to Aurillac night train service we will soon be back on rail after an interruption of 20 years. Booking for this new service just opened last 4th of October 2023. Prices start at just €19 for one-way seated tickets, €29 for 2nd class couchette, and €39 for 1st class sleeper.

The route

The night train departs from the Paris Austerlitz train station at 19:45, setting the stage for an overnight adventure. After a comfortable night’s sleep, travelers will arrive in Aurillac at 7:30 the next morning. This schedule ensures that you maximize your daytime hours in both cities, making the most of your trip.

For those heading back to the City of Lights, the night train departs from Aurillac at 22:41 pm
and will arrive at its terminus the next day at 8:20
am.

The Schedule

Starting on December 10, 2023, the new night train service will be operated on weekends and every day of the week during the french school holidays, providing the flexibility you need to plan your perfect escape.
